Honored

I am so thrilled to let you that our class has won a grant from the Macon County Education Foundation. The award will go towards books and learning games to help with literacy in our classroom. Pictured are Mike Wells (from MCEF), Kim Fitzgerald (a coworker), myself, and Mr. Pete (from MCEF). There were 15 awards given out and I am just so honored to win one of them.

One more thing....

I recently found out that I will be co-presenting in Las Vegas at the I Teach K - kindergarten conference in Summer 2010. You can read all about it, click HERE - this is my co-presenter's website. Vanessa Levin from Texas. We have been friends for several years and I am so excited to be working with her, it's going to be fun teaching in front of teachers from all over the USA!

Happy Thanksgiving

Today we celebrated an early Thanksgiving with 2 other classrooms. We learned about what it was like being pilgrims and indians. We had a feast and enjoyed being together.

Red Ribbon Balloon Release

Ms. Ford does the countdown!

And we let go!!!

they go up.....

up higher......until....

we can't see them anymore!

Today was the annual Red Ribbon Balloon Release here at Fairlane. The students always love watching the balloons go up in the sky! One student asked me today if there is enough room in the clouds to hold all of those balloons! Gotta love kids.
